Thanks to a friend, I had the chance to handle an 1815 Moonphase yesterday.The 1815 Emil Lange is without any doubt one of the most beautiful Lange which was ever released.
The watch was launched in 1999 and sold till 2000. It's a LE with 250 PG / 150 PT pieces. At that time, the retail price was 13,200 USD for the PG version and 18,200 USD for the PT version. As you can imagine it, it's better to forget these prices if you want to get this watch...

I would like to share with you few photos I have taken this afternoon during a special GTG for which only military flybacks were invited.
First of all, the group photo
9 watches were participating. They all share a lot of characteristics:- chronograph- black dial- on leather- without date- bicompax- and flyback!
6 were coming from France and 3 from Germany.

Just look at this store...and then wonder I wonder what makes me want to buy, and keep all my watches and stuff in these old steamer trunks..
These wooden trunks are cool...and they have an incredible tactile feel and "history".
They are also very masculine..not at all "metrosexual" in any way. Hell..I am sure even the late Lee Marvin, my favorite hero of a stone cut face will use one!
